Cape Girardeau Mo

Return to Journey to St Louis

This place has not been waiting for Lewis and Clark re-inactment to make the the
city a better place to live. The have a lot of mureals that are worth driving a long way to see.
there was a restaraunt cooking food that smelled real good, but did not open until
after it was time for me to go. The restaruant is Port Cape Girardeau. They have
dinner theater and bands upstairs. The restaruant is the turn around point for bus
tours from St Louis and Nashville.
The Red House has been rebuilt behind the flood wall. It was the site of an active trading post
when Lewis and Clark went through. They have a block of new car dealers and a Walmart, Kmart and
a Target. They are still trying to be the main trading post in the area.
