The park is in Illinois, north of the down town. Get off I-70 on highway 3 at exit 3.
Go north on Highway 3 past I-270. Turn left(west) on New Poag Road just before the canal.
The canal runs into the Mississippi River just south of where the Missouri River runs into it.
The center can be seen from the road and is before the town of Hartford.
